CLADA is an Irish Dance Music Band from County Galway, Ireland. Formed in March 2024, CLADA is comprised of five Irish musicians who all bring something different to the forefront from their musical backgrounds respectively.

In that short space of time, CLADA have become a viral sensation on social media platforms such as TikTok and Instagram, have collaborated with the NFL on the announcement of the Pittsburgh Steelers Game in Croke Park and have just completed their first Irish Tour which saw them travelling the length and breadth of Ireland. With the Irish Tour over, CLADA completed a two month stint in Raglan Road Irish Pub, situated in the heart of Orlando, Florida in the United States of America to further their musical career and bring their music to the American audience. CLADA also recently just finished a UK tour which saw them playing in Inverness, Edinburgh, Glasgow, London and Winchester.

The band is made up of five Irish musicians all with backgrounds in Irish music and other past projects which in turn have driven CLADA to the successes they have been meeting since.

Orla Leavy takes the reins on fiddle with her virtuosity in Irish traditional music, Jack O’Reilly with his tight guitar rhythms and beautiful chords, Liam Tierney always steals the show with his eccentric box playing and sporadic showmanship, Sam Purcell always fills the pocket with his tasty drum skills and finally Eoin Salmon who lays down the low end on bass keeping the songs and tunes sounding funky and fresh.

With the Irish Traditional sound that CLADA have so meticulously honed over the short time they’ve been together, their use of different musical styles with the use of a multitude of effects can be heard throughout their ensembles ranging from Irish traditional, folk, pop, funk and even elements of dance music which in turn gives traditional Irish music a fresh lift to keep it on par with the releases in todays modern mainstream genres. CLADA hope to establish themselves by making the music more accessible to those unfamiliar with the genre by introducing more contemporary techniques sounds and rhythms into their overall sound.
